Racists? Well, of course. Accurate? Not even close. If welfare has a face, it is white, southern and/or is in a suit.
Romney doesn’t mention in his ad the HE SUPPORTED THE EXACT SAME CHANGE TO THE WELFARE LAW.

Hey. I’m not a reader of this blog. But I did have a question.
Why do you call this “The Centrist Word”, when you clearly are a left wing guy.
Thanks for the question. Opposing the policies proposed by the 2012 Republican party doesn’t necessarily make you a ‘left wing guy’. Nor do their policies represent what has been defined as ‘conservative’ – at least how it has been defined for the past 50 years.
While the parties swing further left or further right, the policies that centrists value do not – they stay the same. At this moment, the GOP has gone way right and the Democrats have moved more towards the center. In fact, you can see this in much of the legislation (personal mandate) and executive actions (slowing regulation on businesses) of this administration.
There are those that scream socialist, communist, leftist – but for the most part these are just people ignorant about what those words actually mean. In fact it is kind of humorous to watch rich guys trick middle aged and class white guys act like fascists. Nothing conservative about that
I don’t think many centrists think that conservatives are fascist. Although I disagree with the notion that Republicans have moved to far to the right, I can understand that many people feel that way.
However, I do have to say that I know many centrists, and they criticize Democrats for being too far left and Republicans for being too far right.
By definition, I don’t think one could describe this blog as “centrist”. A centrist wouldn’t almost exclusively attack conservatives and conservative ideas (and, no, saying the Democrats aren’t left enough isn’t the kind of criticism I’m talking about).
But, it is your blog, not mine. So, you have every right to call it whatever you want.
