In what can only be described as ‘a blow to book-learned people everywhere’, Rick Perry has just set the record straight – global warming is an elaborate hoax, the government is unconstitutional, and we should just pray to God for things when we want them (like Santa Claus).
Taking the approach that God is basically an ATM dispenser which gives you stuff when you pray is a relatively new approach to governance and has yet to be proven as effective. Given the continued drought in Texas, skeptics are saying that the higher powers may not be on board with this new model.
Rick Perry also said yesterday in New Hampshire that global warming is based on ‘scientists manipulating data’. To what end, he did not elaborate. He said that if he were President, he wouldn’t devote federal resources to battle environmental concerns.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry made the comments as he launched a two-day New Hampshire campaign tour. He was speaking at a packed breakfast event with business leaders Wednesday.
